Post Re: Warmup?
the graphics go nuts as soon as i enter a battle - can't see the characters untill i pick one, then there's a strange diagonall line straight between the 2 characters, and what little i can see if the floor appears to be all greyscaled and massively overcontrasted

cant say i played past there to note more..

(last time tried to run alpha was last night)

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /files/2007/6/25/1211474/cb9runtimelog.txt on this server.

Could you mail it to me? there should be a little mail icon near my username ;)

Post Re: Warmup?
right, i have it working to a playable lvl now - there was a problem with the glsl shader when it's either off or higher than low - none of the other settings improves how the game looks with that on low for some reason.. anyway it works at least the graphics are still a little buggy in parts - the character selction screen shows a what looks like a screenshot of whats going on onscreen - also character teleport graphics do the same- oh tried sending the file but my emails being wierd but had an idea..

Looks like a case of out of date drivers...
Your video-card should be capable of the full experience.

Try installing new ATI drivers from http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

Some laptops with ATI chips "lock" to a specific laptop driver...
If this is the case you can use http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php to unlock ATI's official driver to install normally on your laptop.

Judging from your opengl version string you can expect a performance boost too!

Well knowing the ATI drivers a little bit, when heat is an issue they will auto-reduce clock speeds. This might cause slower performance of LBZ, and in extreme cases artefacts...
So it *could* be... in any case, i should have that looked at, bad cooling == burnout waiting to happen...

Great to hear that! Thx for letting me know :)

(What i did: Fixed some shader stages, putting less pressure on fill-rate, and some optimizations in destruction)
