Request for a small subprog that can run in background and shows up the ammount of players in chat and active games.

Great would be a "Im gonna come" function in it to show people that you are not in lbzchat atm but you would come if other people come.

even greater would be an way to enter the chat without starting lbz...

and greatest would be an interface that translates LBZ into IRC and back.. so I could watch LBZ chat with my multimessenger

why would that lagg the game? do you even understand the concept of what lagg is?

No of course a program like that would NOT cause lagg...
And i think it might be a pretty good idea.. :S

could we have a some kind of bulletin board for the chat?
my idea is like this, you click on "write message on bulletin board" and then you can leave a message there which keeps for some time/days
over your message will be your nickname and your ip-address
and then other players can click on "Bulletin board" and look what other people wrote there

But I thought again about the system...

So I renew the request in two alternatives:
1. Netwatch is a small prog that stays in the systemtray.
It cannot be maximized. A click shows how many players are in chat and how many players are using netwatch.
The only option is to switch between spectator and ready, wich also will be reported via netwatch.

2. Build in a sleep function for most LBZ functions except chat, and add a minimize to tray option. The trayicon will blink if people enter (akg players will be marked in chat as trayed
(most important is that the chat is not wasting too many resources)
Maximize functions are maximize to chat and maximize for game.
Additional, it gets a stasrtlink to start directly in tray (for autostart if people want)

The netwatch might be easier, but the LBZ-sleep would be more comfortable

You have too many ideas (which are very good). Menne is gonna explode cause all that coding. And then Lbz3d is dead.

One understands that this is quite an old thread. But, has this idea been abandoned or is it still under consideration?
