 Crash?
Anyone else getting the problem of LBZ Alpha crashing in the middle of rounds? It happens to me on multiplayer and ai games, and I think it started 2 or 3 updates ago.

 Re: Crash?
Now i had it too, twice in a row
It was both times in a Kaoken situation with the edge of the level visible in the screen. I directly copied my profilefolder but could not find any logfiles in there :S

 Re: Crash?
Just to clarify, by crash I just mean that the game freezes, no error message or anything. I will pay more attention but I didn't notice that has variables for when it crashes.

 Re: Crash?
Tested it out a bit more... the edge of the screen is almost certaintly involved, in each case it's either visible or about to become visible when it crashes. Kaioken and aura seem to hasten it along, but I got it to crash without either as well.

 Re: Crash?
The universe stops, basicly the black bar cover up most of what would be a visible edge to the landscape Had the crash again, it is happening inside the geometry update thread i think... will debug more...

 Re: Crash?
Depending on how much you have had to drink, the other universe might end too....

 Re: Crash?
reybag wrote: no,dark matter, thats what those black bars on levels are If it were just dark matter, it wouldn't really bother you. You wouldn't disappear from existence if you entered a cloud of it (or a block of it?). But, if it were a black hole, of whatever kind of matter, you would. As you pass the black hole's event horizon (the area near the edge of the level), your character would effectively disappear from existence as he is ripped apart by the sharp gravitational potential gradient, only returning to the universe as the individual atoms at random times. Of course, you would need to run the game for an impossibly long period to observe the black hole evaporate enough to give back all the atoms of your character (so that he can respawn). Until the moment he respawns, the outside observer (you) would see a frozen image of him at the event horizon. [One isn't sure, but the image might stay there even after he respawns] Considering the long time scale involved, you might as well restart.
